James Deen’s membership site, JamesDeen.com, won this year’s XBIZ Adult Site of the Year Award – Performer.
“It is an extreme honor to win this award,” he said in a statement. “It means so much to me that the adult industry has been so supportive and such a great family of people. To be told that JamesDeen.com is one of the best websites is a super cool feeling and I plan to make it even cooler in the years to come.
JamesDeen.com is known for its “Do A Scene With James Deen”, where women can apply to perform a scene with the star.
The 2017 Performer Adult Site of the Year victory is Deen’s 12th XBIZ Award. He has already won awards such as Male Performer of the Year and Crossover Star of the Year.
“This award aims to recognize JamesDeen.com as a website opposed to me as a performer,” Deen told TheWrap of how this award differs from its previous awards. “I’ve received many awards as a performer, but as a business owner and website builder I’m still fairly new to the game.”
Deen was recently accused of neglecting to use condoms on the sets of his adult films. Deen faces hefty fines of up to $ 77,875 for violating workplace safety rules, including failure to use condoms during filming caused by investigators from Cal / OSHA (California Department of Industrial Relations Division of Occupational Safety and Health). Deen “vigorously” denied the charges, saying his performers had been tested for STDs and had voluntarily chosen not to wear condoms.
In 2015, the adult film star and producer was also charged with assault by nine women. Three of those accusers said the alleged assaults took place on the set of a porn movie: Tori Lux, who claimed Deen attacked her while on set in 2011; Amber Rayne, who claimed Deen punched her twice in the face and “brutally” sodomized her while on set in 2006; and Kora Peters, who said Deen ignored his refusal to perform anal sex and did so by force, after which the team “congratulated him all.”
Deen has denied all of the allegations and Amber Rayne has since died.
